YouTube Over One Billion Served Daily.
October 10, 2009 by Steven Seppinni
YouTube just released their current number of videos served, over one billion videos daily. That number is just mind-boggling. This means that more people are viewing content on the web than T.V. Here is a link to the NY Times article regarding YouTube, http://tinyurl.com/yzm4uar
Now, with the emergence of web T.V. sites like http://www.hulu.com which replays network T.V. shows the big push is underway to transform video content delivery. As technology progresses the main stream T.V. set will be used less and less.
I predict in the near future, small laptops and Smartphones will be able to project a high quality virtual screen. So your entertainment will be more portable than ever. Yes, today Smartphones have the ability to view video but this will be greatly enhanced by a virtual projection method.
So if you’re a company owner or marketer you need to be producing video content now that fits the portable landscape. The timing is now to get ahead of the video production/distribution curve.
As for myself I currently have 2 mini-shows in the pre-production stage. Each geared towards niche demographics. Even if you begin with viral/promo homemade videos and learn how to effectively distribute them you are taking a step in the right direction.
